Robert Price received his BFA in 1961 from the University of Kansas and his MFA in 1965 from the San Francisco Art Institute. He also studied at the University of Paris as a Fulbright Fellow.

His work has been featured in various exhibitions and permanent collections at a variety of art venues, including the Wichita Art Museum, Wichita; the Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri; and the Richmond Art Center in Richmond, California.
